NHS COVID-19 vaccination — autumn 2026
The NHS autumn 2026 COVID-19 vaccination programme is targeted at people at highest risk of serious illness. NHS vaccination is offered to:
- Adults aged 75 years and over, including people aged 74 who will turn 75 by 31 January 2027
- Residents in care homes for older adults
- People aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed, as defined in the current Green Book guidance
Eligibility is checked before an NHS vaccination is given. If you are unsure whether you qualify because of immunosuppression or another clinical circumstance, contact us and we can explain the next step.
Private COVID-19 vaccination
If you are not eligible for a free NHS COVID-19 vaccination, a private COVID-19 vaccination may be available at Sparks Pharmacy. Private vaccination is subject to the clinical protocol in use, age requirements, individual suitability and current vaccine stock.
Please contact the pharmacy for the current private price and appointment or walk-in availability.
On-site vaccination at Sparks Pharmacy
Vaccinations are provided at our Chalfont St Giles pharmacy. Depending on clinic capacity and vaccine supply, appointments and walk-in access may be available. Calling ahead is recommended if you are making a special journey.
Can I have COVID and flu vaccinations at the same visit?
COVID-19 and flu vaccinations may be given at the same appointment when clinically appropriate and both vaccines are available. The vaccinator will assess your eligibility and suitability at the time.
What if I had a private COVID vaccine earlier this year?
If you are eligible for the autumn 2026 NHS programme, a previous private COVID vaccination does not automatically prevent you receiving an NHS dose. The appropriate interval from your previous dose must be considered before vaccination.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be registered with a local GP?
NHS vaccination eligibility is based on the national programme rather than simply where your GP is located. The pharmacy must confirm eligibility before administration.
Can I pay privately if I am under 75?
Potentially, yes. Private vaccination may be available for people outside the NHS cohort, subject to the age limits of the service, clinical assessment and vaccine availability.
Do you provide the vaccine at the pharmacy?
Yes. Sparks Pharmacy provides COVID-19 vaccination on site at our Chalfont St Giles pharmacy.
How do I book?
